A belated post on some trail work we did a couple weeks back.
We plan on getting more active on trail maintenance this summer, but we have a slight snag in that our source for 1/4 -minus stone has no current supply. Although we do expect to get more soon, we will try to make do.
Two weekends ago, we set to work on a section of trail overdue for some attention, the section of the Old Channel trail leading toward “dog beach”.
With a small crew, we spent the morning moving sand from the channel into the low and muddy spots on the section of trail from 1000 Acres road to the beach. Below are a few photos.
We intend to lay some stone on top of this surface as it packs in, but we may move the priority to other sections of trail as we get material.
