One of our trash can crew was doing the rounds early Saturday morning at the Delta shortly after 6:00 AM, when he noticed an old chevy pickup roving the parking lot and occasionally parking near other vehicles. Returning to the lot after his rounds, he noticed the truck was in yet other locations, and one of the two individuals was out looking into other cars.
After calling police dispatch, and finishing up the other tasks, the truck was noticed at the entrance gate where two individuals looked to be tossing things back into the truck. They knew they had been seen, and quickly left.
They were then spotted parking across the freeway near Lewis and Clark park. They apparently were in the area for at least 1/2 hour.
The two were a man and woman. The truck was red and apparently fairly beat up with the front heavily primered. The truck had a low canopy, and looked to be filled with trash in both the cab and in the bed.
If anyone has experienced a break in recently, please be sure to call law enforcement, probably non-emergency (503-823-3333) unless you see a break-in in progress If you see a break-in happening, call 911.
If anyone sees a truck meeting this description, and you’re able to get a photo with the license showing, please send it.
And please remember not to leave valuables in your car when visiting.
