There will be a tree planting event coordinated by Friends of Trees at the Delta on Saturday, February 7th. It’s always good to have regular users of the Delta involved so we hope you can participate.

Sandy River Delta Planting (Troutdale)

When: Sat, February 7, 9am – 1pm

Where: Sandy River Delta Park, Troutdale, OR ()

Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes and get ready to have fun! Looking to volunteer as a group? RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people – click HERE to do so. RSVPs are not required for groups of 4 or less. Friends of Trees is excited to be planting at the Sandy River Delta again! We are partnering with the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council and Friends of the Sandy River Delta with support from East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District, the US Forest Service, PGE’s Habitat Fund, and the Jubitz Foundation. This event is generously sponsored by REI, Daimler and the Portland Trail Blazers.

About the Author

Jeff is the chair of the Friends of the Sandy Rive Delta, and has been working with a group of dedicated volunteers and the Forest Service since 2005 to help keep the Sandy River Delta accessible to the many users who have discovered the area as a great place to recreate.
