Main Gate Closure Hours beginning October 10th

Thanks for the comment Patrick. I/we havebeen concerned about evening hours, but your concern regarding morning hours are just as valid. I expect this will be of concern come hunting season as well. We've discussed these issues with the Forest Service, and we at least managed to get the seasonal adjustments. Part of the problem was logistics, and finding the organization to be at the gate on schedule. State Parks has been contracted, so hopefully they will be prompt having the Lewis and Clark Park just South of the freeway. If you find the gate is not being opened promptly, by all means contact us here, and or notify the Forest Service Directly (I've added a link to the above post, but you can visit the site directly at http://www.fs.usda.gov/crgnsa) I expect you would be OK if you feel safe enough to leave your car parked on Jordan Road if you go early. I believe the Forest Service is anticipating hunters to do just that.
