There will be an Evening Hike with the Friends of the Columbia River Gorge this weekend April 29th from 4:30 – 7:30 PM.
For a number of years now, we’ve jointly led a hike sponsored by the Friends of the Columbia River Gorge, and co-led by the Confluence Project, and the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council. This year, we’re trying a springtime outing.
We’ll talk about the collaborative efforts of our groups in making the Delta what it has become. Courtney Yilk of the Confluence Project will talk about the Bird Blind project, Bill Weiler of the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council will talk about the restoration efforts and the wildlife in the area, and I will talk about what we’ve done with all the involved groups to help make the Delta such a great place.
