Looking for a volunteer opportunity at the Delta?
Our partners at the Confluence Project are hosting a “Make a Difference Day” trail repair party this Saturday, October 28, 2017.
(see our facebook event calendar https://www.facebook.com/pg/friendsofthesandyriverdelta/events/)
The Confluence Trail has had a lot of use and with a grant from the National Forest Foundation, it will get some much needed repair work. We will be working to fill in some of the low spots, as well as doing some additional projects around the site, including trash pickup, filling in dig holes, and possibly some removal of barbed wire as volunteer numbers allow.
Please RSVP to Courtney Yilk at 360-693-0123, or Courtney@confluenceproject.org.
Volunteers will meet for sign-in at the parking lot kiosk at the Confluence Trailhead at 8:30 AM. Additional parking for Volunteers will be available, so please look for signs, and volunteer directing traffic.
Coffee, pastries, and tea as well as light lunch snacks will be provided. Equipment will be provided by the Forest Service.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, and wear sturdy clothing including boots, gloves, comfortable clothing, and sun protection.
