What are these structures? Over the summer, you likely noticed a number of these small fenced in areas appearing at the Delta. Those who may have participated in the EcoBlitz last April, may have an idea, but for the others, there was no doubt a lot of head scratching. These sites are intended for protection of potential Western Painted Turtle Nest habitat, and were defined with involvement from the Oregon Zoo, The

Every year, we hold an event to help introduce our mutual 4 legged friends. We call it Puppies and Ponies. This is a great day to bring your children for a visit with horses, and also to introduce your Canines to Equus Caballus so they can learn how to interact with a horse on a trail. This years event will be Saturday, June 18th. Horses should be on-site from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. What will be happening? •Edu

We extended the sections of the Boundary Trail on either end of the turnpike section, and we spread a section of the Meadow Trail before running out of time and energy. We have another day we need to plan so we can finish the rest of the load (Meadow and Channel Trails),
Thanks to those who donated, it’s time we get out and do some trail repair and surfacing. We are having a load of stone delivered on Wednesday in preparation for a day of trail maintenance. As usual, we would love to have some volunteer help. This will involve some amount of spreading, and packing the stone, (fortunately the heavy lifting will be done with a tractor). You’ll need a good pair of gloves,
