What a day Well, we completed all the work for the weekend, and would you believe we spread 60 tons of 1/4 minus gravel on three trails. On Saturday, we completed the Beach Trail (see previous post). Sunday with a smaller crew (Barb, Dave, Priscilla, and myself), we spread half as much stone to repair the Meadow Trail as it enters the large open meadow North of the Parking lot. Finished work on Beach Trail Today we completed laying stone along ~600 feet of the beach trail from 1000 Acres Road. We thank all the visitors that found their way around us to the beach while we were working. (with the tractor running back and forth, the last thing we wanted was someones dog getting hurt.) Normally, we’re able to do this work when things are still a little wet. That helps the stone compact

Hi all, We are finally getting a delivery of stone on very short notice for some of the trail work we’ve been planning since early this year. We will be getting four loads to spread along the trail to the beach, to fill in along the Boundary Trail, and to fill some low spots at the start of the Meadow Trail. We were just given notice of a project at the Walt Morey Middle School in Troutdale that has ties to the Confluence Project. The project and event, Gifts of our Ancestors, is described by Carson Abbert, the school Art Teacher involved in the project as follows: “I’d like to invite you to join us on Saturday.
