We’ve just been informed that the MCSO (Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office) and the US Forest Service Law Enforcement Officers will be conducting a sweep and cleanup of the area along the Sandy River, Friday, March 17th, starting around 8:00 AM.

As you know, this has been an ongoing issue for us, and attention to it sometimes is less than we desire.

Prior to this sweep, a survey was done (Friday March 10th) where several large camps were found with piles of debris and waste.  An arrest was made under warrant during the survey as well.

An inmate crew will be on-site to help with the cleanup on Friday.

Please be aware of this activity as they are doing all users of the Delta a tremendous service.

In the future, we always ask that camps be reported when found.  Please contact us here, or through Facebook, and call Police non-emergency (or 911 if necessary) at 503 823-3333 if you see any signs of future camp activity along the river.  We’d like to keep attention paid to this issue to prevent these camps from establishing themselves in the future
